Rollerskating at Funky Monkey!

Hello everybody!

Here you've got some pictures and videos of the activity we did this morning: we went rollerskating to a place called Funky Monkey! They had a really good time! Tomorrow is our last day and we will go bowling in the morning and the students will be given their certificates in the afternoon! More pictures and videos tomorrow!

Cinema and last day for some students!

Hello Spain!

After a morning at the cinema watching Monters University (we laughed and we enjoyed ourselves a lot!), the last day for ten boys and girls in our group arrived. Here you have got some videos for you to see how was the delivery of the certificates. After that, in the evening, we enjoyed a dinner together at an Italian restaurant, Bella Italia.

Despues de una manana en el cine viendo Monters University (donde nos reimos y disfrutamos un monton), llego el ultimo dias para diez chicos y chicas de nuestro grupo. Os dejo unos videos para que veais como fue la entrega de los certificados. Depues, por la tarde, disfrutamos de una cena todos juntos en un restaurante italiano, Bella Italia.

Hello averybody again!

After a long weekend with internet connection problems ... we start our last week!


Here you have some photos and videos of the activity that the students did on Thursday. We went to Wensum Sports Centres and there they played basketball, table tennis and badminton. You can also watch a video of the students with our activity leader, Sarah, that made chocolate cupcakes for all of them, because for some, it was their last day. Thank you very much Sarah!

Despues de un fin de semana largo y con problemas de conexion con internet...ya entramos en nuestra ultima semana!


Aqui os dejo unas fotos y videos de la actividad que los chicos hicieron el jueves. Fuimos al Centro Deportivo Wensum y alli practicaron baloncesto, pin pon y badminton. Tambien os dejo un video de los chicos con nuestra activity leader, Sarah, que les hizo a todos unas magdalenas de chocolate, ya que para algunos de ellos era su ultimo dia. Muchas gracias Sarah!

 

 

Sailing with the seals at Blakeney Point!

Hello again everyone!

Here you have some pictures and a video of the excursion this morning. After an hour by bus, we arrived at Blakeney Point, a beautiful place near the coast, considered National Nature Reserve. There, we took a boat and sailed  to the point where seals were! It was a very relaxing morning and I think the guys enjoyed it a lot!

Aqui os dejo unas fotos y un video de la excursion de esta manana. Despues de una hora de autobus, llegamos a Blakeney Point, un lugar precioso al lado de la costa, considerado Reserva Natural Nacional. Alli cogimos un bote y navegamos por la ria hasta llegar al punto donde estaban las focas!! Fue una manana muy relajada y que creo que los chicos disfrutaron un monton!

Norwich Cathedral and stroll round Riverside area!

Hello everyone!

More cultural activities for the students! Today we visited Norwich Cathedral (www.cathedral.org.uk) and then we walked around the area of the river (a very beautiful and quiet area to stroll) Inside the Cathedral the students did a questionnaire similar to the one they did in the Castle, and this time the winner was ... Carlos! (who also had his prize of chocolate!) The first photographs are of the Cathedral and the following ones of area of Riverside.

Mas actividades culturales para los chicos! Hoy visitamos la Catedral de Norwich (www.cathedral.org.uk) y despues caminamos por la zona del rio (un area muy bonita y muy tranquila para pasear) Dentro de la catedral los chicos tambien hicieron un cuestionario, parecido al que realizaron en el castillo, y esta vez el ganador fue...Carlos! (que tambien se llevo su premio de chocolate!) Las primeras fotografias son de la Catedral y las siguientes son del area de Riverside.

Norwich Castle

Hello again!

After a busy weekend ... Monday again! Time flies! This week we change the routine and the students have their English classes in the afternoon and the activities in the morning. New students have arrived this weekend, specially Chinese and French, so the students have more opportunities to meet people from other places!

On Monday morning we visited Norwich Castle. It is one of the finest Norman buildings in Europe and was built by William The Conqueror in 1067, becoming his only residence here in East Anglia. Here the students visited the castle museum and also completed a cultural questionnaire. We had two winners who did really well: Marina Cortes and Paloma! (they had two chocolate bars as a prize!)

Hola de nuevo!

Despues de un fin de semana ajetreado...lunes de nuevo! El tiempo pasa volando! Esta semana volvemos a cambiar la rutina y los chicos tiene sus clases de ingles por la tarde y las actividades por la manana. Nuevos estudiantes has llegado a la ciudad este fin de semana, sobre todo chinos y franceses, asi que los chicos tienen oportunidad de conocer mas gente de otros lugares!

En la manana del lunes visitamos el Castillo de Norwich. Es uno de los mejores edificios normandos de toda Europa y fue construido por Guillermo El conquistador en 1067, convirtiendose en su unica residencia aqui en la region de East Anglia. Aqui los chicos visitaron el museo del castillo y a la vez rellenaron un cuestionario cultural. Tuvimos dos ganadoras que lo hicieron realmente bien: Marina Cortes y Paloma! (se llevaron dos buenas barras de chocolate como premio!)

Fantastic weekend in London!

Hello everyone!

We have started our third week in Norwich, after a tiring and really warm weekend! On Saturday we woke up very early (most of us at half past five in the mornin) to get to London soon and enjoy the day. We visited the most emblematic places within the city: Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace (where we saw the changing of the guard), St. James Park, Leicester Square, Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament, Covent Garden and Piccadilly Circus. The sun and heat was with us throughout the whole of the day (about 35 degrees) and London was full of people, but anyways, everyone enjoyed the excursion!

On Sunday, we all met in the city center and went to Quasar Laser (something like paintball but with laser guns), in order to do something fun and different! (it is not all about shopping and shopping!)

Ya empezamos nuestra tercera semana en Norwich, despues de un fin de semana agotador y con muchisimo calor! El sabado madrugamos mucho (muchos a las cinco y media de la manana) para poder llegar a Londres bien pronto y disfrutar el dia. Visitamos los lugares mas emblematicos de la ciudad: Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace (donde pudimos ver el cambio de guardia), St. James Park, Leicester Square, el Big Ben y el Parlamento, Covent Garden y Picadilly Circus. El sol y el calor nos acompanaron durante todo el dia (sobre 35 grados) y Londres estaba repleto de gente, pero aun asi, todos disfrutaron mucho de la excursion!
El domingo, todos quedamos en el centro de la ciudad y fuimos a Quasar Laser (algo asi como paintball pero con pistolas de laser), para asi realizar algo divertido y diferente! (no todo van a ser compras y mas compras!)

Poker and pool afternoon!

Hello everyone!

After our visit to Blickling Hall on Wednesday, where the students visited a seventeenth century large mansion and walked through the extensive gardens, yesterday we went to play pool and poker. Here are some pictures of the guys playing and having a good time! Today we are going to the swimming pool and  tomorrow ... LONDON CITY!

Despues de nuestra visita a Blickling Hall el miercoles donde los chicos pudieron visitar una gran mansion del siglo diecisiete y dar un paseo por sus grandes jardines, ayer nos fuimos a jugar al billar y al poker! Aqui teneis unas fotos de los chicos jugando y pasando un buen rato! Hoy nos vamos a la piscina y manana...LONDON CITY!

Sports at Eaton Park and night at the Disco!

Hello everybody!

After a morning with classes at school, on Tuesday we went to Eaton park to get some exercise. The guys quickly picked his favorite sport, soccer of course, and began to play against the Russians and the French. And as our National Football Team, they played really well and won! The rest played volleyball and rounders (similar to baseball). We had a great afternoon! Later, the students went home quickly to get ready and go to the Disco looking stunning! Here you have a photo of the group dancing La Macarena!

Después de una mañana con clases en el colegio, el martes nos fuimos al parque de Eaton para hacer algo de ejercicio. Los chicos rápidamente escogieron su deporte favorito, fútbol por supuesto, y comenzaron a jugar contra los rusos y los franceses. Y como nuestra Seleccion, jugaron muy bien y ganaron! El resto jugó voleibol y rounders (similar al béisbol). Pasamos una tarde muy divertida! Más tarde, todos se fueron a casa rápidamente para prepararse e ir a la discoteca bien guapos! Visit to Dragon Hall Museum

Hello everyone!

Here we are with more news from Norwich! Monday again! Time is going really fast for the students ... it looks they are enjoying their time here a lot! This week begins with classes in the morning and in the afternoon we visited the Dragon Hall Museum . Here the students were entertained with speeches about the weapons used in Medieval Times, they could even get dressed like at those times as you can see in the pictures. It was a different way to learn and have fun at the same time!

Aqui estamos de nuevo desde Norwich! Lunes otra vez! El tiempo esta pasando realmente rapido para los chicos...se ve que estan disfrutando un monton! Esta semana comienza con clases por la manana y por la tarde fuimos a visitar el Museo de Dragon Hall. Aqui los chicos se entretuvieron un monton con las charlas sobre las armas utilizadas en la epoca medieval, incluso se pudieron vestir como en aquella epoca como podeis ver en las fotos. Fue una manera diferente de aprender y entretenerse al mismo tiempo!

Cambridge

Hello everyone!

Saturday in Cambridge! If we compare July 2013 with last year, we are being really lucky with the weather ... almost 30 degrees this weekend! Some of the students got their shoulders burnt because of the sun!

Here you have some photos and a video of the activity we did when we arrived Cambridge, punting! The students had a great time, though with the heat, those who were rowing were roasted like chickens! After taking a small tour around Cambridge so the students could visit the most famous colleges of Cambridge and their history. Finally, they had their free time to walk around and go shopping ... Cambridge University sweatshirts triumphed! Back in Norwich, many of them went back to their homes with families, it was a non-stop day!

Sabado en Cambridge! Si comparamos julio de 2013 con el ano pasado, estamos teniendo mucha suerte con el clima...casi 30 grados este fin de semana! Algunos de los alumnos se quemaron un poco los hombros por el sol!

Aqui teneis algunas fotos y un video de la actividad que hicimos nada mas llegar a Cambridge...punting! Los chicos se lo pasaron genial, aunque con el calor, los que estaban remando se asaron como pollos! Despues de hacer un pequeno tour por Cambridge para que los alumnos pudieran visitar los mas famosos colleges de Cambridge y su historia. Finalmente, les dimos tiempo libre para que pudieran pasear e ir de compras...las sudadera de Cambridge University triunfaron! De vuelta en Norwich, muchos se fueron de regreso a sus casas con las familias; fue un dia sin parar!
